Students concentrate on the creation of compelling photographic images through use of composition, lighting, content, mood, and Photoshop manipulation. Class includes group critique sessions, at home shooting assignments, and in class photography and Photoshop demonstrations. Students gain an understanding of all Photoshop tools used for editing and altering photographs. In addition, students begin to form their personal vision as a photographic artist concentrating on style of shooting and editing. Class assignments include Allegory and Non-Allegory Self Portraiture, Mimicking a Master, and Shooting a Series.
